don't look now but the Rays might overtake Yankees as 1st seed for AL East.

Unfortunately, Jacob Wilson is on pace to have well over 200 hits this season. It's his to lose.

    Well, sort of.

Everybody knew it was a bad idea to run King back out. Nobody knew what his appearance would end up like. There's been people crying "LOSS" the past 3 games by just looking at the lineup card...people complaining about King last night...

    Yet the Stros persevere.

A bad decision does not necessarily dictate a bad outcome, was my point. And vice-versa.

You neglected to answer my (I believe to be a pretty ****ing salient) question from last night:

Who would you have had in the 8th?

    Hernandez/Weems/Ort/King?

To lead that division with all those big spenders at ASB and still be sellers at the deadline... What a world.

    The bullpen hates Hunter.

That said, the offense has to find a way to score more than 1 run in the first 7 innings of a game.

The Phillies are a veteran proven playoff team that knows how to win.

The difference between them and the Astros is the bullpen.

Great job Dana Btown and the back office pitching organization.

Except for this series, I guess ;)

We scored 2 on their pen, they scored 1 on ours.

One of the sh!!ty quirks of the newish MLB scheduling...we don't play them in Philly this year.

    WS or bust

it would be pretty cool to win 3 championships in a span of 8 years under 3 different managers.

I know 40 mil a year makes everything better but I wonder how Breggy feels watching this team exceeding expectations meanwhile he's sidelined watching Red Sox trade their best hitter (because of him) and choke game after game.

And 3 different GMs. Would say a LOT about Jim Crane and Jose Altuve.

We had one of the easiest schedules remaining and the Phillies were considered one of the toughest teams left on it and we swept them..only going to continue to get easier, especially with more guys coming back from injury.

I had already indicated Abreu should have pitched the 8th inning last night.

It worked out that he was able to use Abreu as closer today, but I never agree with foregoing your best attempt at winning today in exchange for bettering your chances of winning the next day. You can't predict tomorrow but you sure as hell can see what's right in front of you today.

Agreed, Sousa was already warming up in the 7th in case HB faltered. Why not just roll him out in the 8th? Sousa has been way better than King lately.

You’re further behind than I thought.

A real man doesn’t stick around to engage in womanly bickering over semantics.

    Check your game logs.
