Why do you claim it's fake optimism? Oh... because you don't like him. Thus, you refuse to believe anything positive is real. Childish
I honestly hope they finish the season well above 19 games above .500.... even though its a respectable win total, this team is more than a 90-91 win team.

It's great we're not just beating up on our mediocre division... we're beating pretty much everyone. Good home stand and great season so far. Springer's surge can help offset Morton's absence.
Me too. If they go .500 the rest of the year, they get to 90 wins. They're capable of far better than .500. It's awesome.
The fact that there's no Twins game thread yet with less than 3 hours remaining tells me this forum has jumped the shark.
If you look at Santana's splits and career log, he is overachieving at the moment. He has gotten hit when he has pitched against decent offenses. Wouldn't chalk game one as a loss just yet.
Curious to see what the Twins do on Wednesday. Santiago entered the game yesterday in relief in the 15th inning -- and promptly gave up 2 HRs and took a loss. It was his throw day, but never really ideal to have to actually pitch between starts.
Every TV show and publication that talks about baseball talks about the Astros, often, in glowing terms.
unfortunately not for the local radio talking heads, they would rather talk peach baskets, egg balls, what penises they've seen in the locker room and shaqs toe. their loss.
