I was just thinking that very thing, particularly about Lee and Pence.

I was contemplating the Berkman effect on the lineup in this game. Knowing that Berkman is there has to have some kind of phsychological effect on the middle of the order and their plate approach.

A lot of people were understandably all over Michaels when he was struggling for the first half of last season but I had seen him in Cleveland and knew that he wasn't a terrible signing. He's a fairly decent bench player.

Even the worst team in baseball wins a ton of games. This will be a valid win assuming that Lindstrom can finish off his former team.

The ump's been calling wide pitches strikes all night then calls that borderline pitch a ball.

    Go figure.

I was making a generic point. I am well aware of the Orioles' start to the season.

Myers bounced back from a few tough situations tonight. That was a big factor. I like his attitude.

He's sort of like a Brandon Backe with more legit pitching talent.

i was just being a smartass.

we're a bad team...but i don't think we're the worst in the league. and i think all the "who will we pick with the first pick" stuff before tax day is absolutely ridiculous.

reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated?

great to see the boys battling. amazingly, we have a better record than the red sox if they lose tonight.

Every team goes through a bad slump or 2 during a 162 game season. Maybe that was just one of them.

Just makes me happy to see wins.

I agree with the thinking about who will we pick first thing but I have no problem with people repeatedly talking about how we draft and develop players as a whole because, to me, that is the heart of the problem with this organization right now.

My opinion is that we will be one of the worst teams in baseball this season and probably for the next couple of seasons. Whether we're the worst or second worst or whatever doesn't make much of a difference to me.

You mean the same Brandon Backe who nearly had a heart attack every time he didn't get a borderline call. Myers is a far better pitcher than Backe. Backe pitched well in the playoffs one year, but hes a nobody.

should give lee a day off and let him regroup to figure out what's going on with him and let Michaels start a game or two
