Who says they're giving up? If a guy sucks and you say he sucks, what's wrong with that? Roy has sucked this season. I really hope he stops sucking but up to this point, that's exactly what he's been doing.

It's one thing if Woody pitched and sucked because we came to expect it. But this is Roy Freakin' Oswalt. He's not supposed to suck, not this much. He's NEVER pitched this poorly before. He's NEVER given up this many runs in any 3 game stretch before. He has NEVER given up 4 homers in a game before. In fact, he almost never gives up 4 homers in a MONTH. There have only been 3 instances in his career where he's given up more than 4 homers in a month.

It's definitely a cause for concern.

Oscar, in his worst HRs allowed season, gave up 13 HRs for an entire season. He gave up 6 last season. He's already given up 4 HRs this season and we're barely 10 games in...of which he has only pitched in 7 games for 9 innings (including this one).

Sigh. Just an embarrassing game pitching-wise. It won't matter what our offense does with pitching like that. 6 HRs allowed. It's almost inexcusable.

Team manages to score 6 runs, bullpen is decent and keeps the game within reach (until the 9th), and Oswalt started. Normally you'd think that would be a recipe for success.

I started watching the "pitch count" screen when Oswalt started getting into trouble. Seemed 90% of the time he was throwing a fastball...coming in at 93mph. It's no wonder the Marlins went deep on him 4 damn times, since they practically knew what was coming. What the hell has happened to his other pitches?

roy's my favorite player, very worried about him, yet still confident that he'll fix this.

It didn't look like he had any movement on the fastball. A fastball with no movement on it usually will get hit very hard at some point.

Last night, it was hit really hard four times.

It was encouraging that Roy had velocity last night.

The first two innings he looked really good. After 2, I thought I was watching the return of the old Oswald. He was throwing 93ish and had some very sweet curveball K's where the hitters looked dominated. That didn't happen in the first two games that I remember. So I'm going to say that there was some progress in that he looked like Roy-of-old for at least a little while.

The final results looked bad, but I think there was a small ray of hope there.

was thinking of starting a thread about this but I am going to try in here first.

Does anyone know where I can watch astros games online outside of mlb tv? I had a site that worked the first week of the season but since then I havent been able to find any of the games on the web. Can anyone help out?

Valverde certainly makes things interesting. A five run lead doesn't exactly feel safe.

That was a complete win...and it feels good.
