He was a rookie at 25, so not FA until 31.

Most super star players are rookies at least by 23. Certainly 24.

the dude hit 52 home runs at 25 years old, in his 1st full season. That is not a late bloomer , especially for someone who played 4 years of college ball. He was a first round pick out of college so he was dominating there too. I guess he made the league 1 year later than what you consider to be on time. Late bloomer is quite a reach in this case.

Diaz could've doubled had he hustled

Eta- and perhaps Duban's hit scores him

When your bat’s as shite as Maldonado’s and you’ve got two on with one out, you’re probably better off just taking and getting Altuve to the plate

He's been one of the Astros better hitters this month, has 2 hits today, and missed another double by an inch or two in that at bat.

    Have to disagree

If he wasn't a late bloomer he would have been in the minors for 3 seasons before being called up after being drafted as a 21 year old and not playing professionally until he was 22.

For example Bregman was drafted as a 21 year old and in the majors just over a year later.

That's not a fair statement based on how he's batted over the past few weeks..

Late bloomer would be 27/28 years old, not 25.

Slow developing, yeah you could argue that

    Late bloomer, that's not accurate.

Bregman, Soto, etc, these are the outliers, not the norm.
