I think McCanns value is showing both offensively and defensively.

 

No one cares about a 2-game sample size. There's no particular reason to be concerned about the offense. There are an endless number of red and yellow flags for the starting rotation, and the potential for it to snowball into problems for the bullpen.

 

It felt that way to me before the season began.
