Lol, take it for what it is man. Backe pitched well. It doesn't matter who it was against, it got us a win. Bottom line. Pretty far back still. 8.5 games out of the NL Wild Card race and 12 games back in the division.

.500 after the 3-17 stretch i never thought we would get back to level. good job stros. hope it lasts longer than one nite.
Wiggington was awesome tonight. Nice to see the team back at .500, especially after that HORRIBLE stretch they had.
At tonight's game the baseball lingo trivia question was what is a golden sumbrero? The answer is a player who strikes out four times in a game, this is done around the 4th inning and then the best part is that Aaron Rowand, probably the Giants best hitter, does that very thing tonight which was pretty cool. Also, props to Wigginton and Backe and the rest of the bottom of the order for winning a game in which we didn't have a hit until the 6th inning. Nice being .500 and with plenty of games left against St. Louis and Milwaukee we could get the wildcard. (We made the World Series in 2005 after starting 15-30 anything can happen!)
Without Carlos Lee? Well, when Yao went down and the Rockets kept the streak going there were plently of people on this board who said we would win it all. Damn, so as soon as the Astros look good their best player goes down. As soon as the Rockets look like title contenders Yao goes down. Knock on wood for the Texans season.
No worries; the Texans already paid their dues. "As soon as the Texans look like contenders AJ goes down." Been there, done that. Bring on 9-7!
I don't know about that, but we bought our ticket for half face value from a season ticket holder. I don't think people either know and/or care how good this Lincecum kid is. Tops in both ERA and K's and throwing mid 90's at his size......and going against Roy with a chance for the Stros to get over .500?!?! Are you kidding me?
Kaz injured again. He's got to be one of the most brittle players I've ever seen, and it's month after month, season after season. It's one thing to have bad luck with a major injury, but with him, it's just one minor tweak after another.
No doubt. It looks like we'll need to have a solid backup option as long as he's an Astro. Can't come into a season counting on more than a 100 games or so out of Kaz.
2 lucky runs on balls sliced with crazy spin. i'll take it. i still am blown away that we could be back over .500 after tonight.
