After tonight, the Astros will be done with the Dodgers, Giants, and Rockies... three teams that have given them terrible times the last few years. They still need to get by Texas and San Diego... two other pesky clubs.
Man, the only thing that could make this month even worse would be to have Bonds hit his HR here in Houston. Bases loaded once again. Ugh.
bonds have had 2 singles and a pop fly that came like 2 feet to a hr, i say he'll get the hr sooner or later in this game with all the @bats he's going to get.
Lets start beaning people. Where is Juaquin Andujar, Danny Darwin, Todd Jones, and Jeff Juden when you need them?
HAHAHAHAHA! YEAH Willy! Nice catch! Fans are a BOOOOOOOOOING! BOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnssssssssss. This series sucks.....i'm getting sick watching this .... ......sigh....Go Stros.....
Maybe the hot start was fools gold, we are dropping games like flies now.... 19-9 start is almost vapor. DD
This looks like a good place for some Rush lyrics off their latest studio album. It's much better than talking about this crappy game and how badly we seem to suck against SF all the time. "Vapor Trail" Stratospheric traces of our transitory flight Trails of condensation held In narrow paths of white The sun is turning black The world is turning gray All the stars fade from the night The oceans drain away Horizon to horizon Memory written on the wind Fading away like an hourglass, grain by grain Swept away like voices in a hurricane In a vapor trail Atmospheric phases make the transitory last Vaporize the memories that freeze the fading past Silence all the song birds Stilled by the killing frost Forests burn to ashes Everything is lost Washed away like footprints in the rain In a vapor trail
agreed. that's also pathetic sportsmanship by garner/springer. also, you gotta love how it takes springer 5 attempts to hit the guy. you're a true loser russell.
Not the first time you've said that in the past few weeks. All teams go through slumps during the season. And the Astros are historically a second half team. The 19-9 start was probably key for the team being able to wheather a horrid May (thus far) as the chances of coming back from a 15-30 start a second consecutive year would be next to nill. I think the team is as good as that start indicates, but they keys to meeting they're potential is to obivously remain healthy (i.e. keeping Berkman in the lineup), for our aces to dominate, for the rest of the rotation to continue to do well and/or for Backe and Clemens to hopefully return. Having Lane bump his average to at least .200 would help a little too. But if we can manage to get Backe and Clemens back that'll take some pressure of the young arms (and can move some of them to the bullpen)
damnit, were getting our ass kicked. this game is sorry and boring. it's 8:40 pm and it's in the 5th. That was fun.
