Looked like he caught his hand on the hitter's pants after the throw. Didn't appear to impact the throw to second.
I haven't loved baseball like this in a long time. The Astros are playing quality, team baseball with pitching leading the way. I'm amazed by our starters and relievers. I saw this game was 2-0 Dodgers and I just had a feeling the Astros would take it. It's a good feeling to see a confident team and one you can feel confident in again. And, the team chemistry...you can feel the harmony with these guys. It really is amazing to see how this team has come together. Keep it going! Management has put together a pretty good team here. Way to go, Astros!
The post-trade Astros remind me of last year's Rockets. They are scrappy, and are probably playing better than their individual abilities would suggest.
Great win. Stros got a little lucky with that Batter's Interference call in my opinion. Just of note, did any of you see the replay of the Rockies - Reds winning run? The Rockies stole home, while the pitcher was so stunned he turned to throw to 2nd instead of home.
That's how I feel. The Rockets played fantastic the first half of the season.....the stros...the 2nd half. Looking forward to seeing these young guys next season.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone steal home before. I don't know what the Rockies were thinking, but I suppose it worked.
I've seen it a few times. Of course Jackie Robinson's fame outside of being the first black player is probably that he stole home 19 times. And his weren't double steals even. A great short write up about Norris' work last night... If Bud can get that first strike percentage up consistently, I think he will solidify himself as at least a #3 starter in the majors.
