Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread). 4-21 Clayton Kershaw, LHP (0-0, 1.50) vs. Russ Ortiz, RHP (0-0, 6.23) 7:05 on FSN 4-22 Randy Wolf, LHP (1-1, 3.93) vs. Roy Oswalt, RHP (0-2, 4.26) 7:05 on FSN 4-23 Chad Billingsley, RHP (3-0, 2.84) vs. Wandy Rodriguez, LHP (1-1, 1.89) 7:05 on FSN
all depends on the bats. they blown so many opportunities to knock in runs and win games it's ridiculous. pitching has been ok.
They are only "due" if their current hitting and bullpen production represents a statistical anamoly compared to the rest of their season. What if they really *do* suck this badly? (not sure how long I can keep up this rotogeek impersonation)
No way are the Astros really this bad. That said, I agree with the first poster who said Wandy's game will save them from a sweep here.
Russ Ortiz has always walked a lot of batters, but he's pushing one per inning thus far in the admittedly young season. His career won't last much longer if he continues at that pace.
So, are you saying that Cooper should have foreseen Valverde's strained calf and preemptively put him on the DL prior to last night's game?
