    On May 2, 2009 Benitez signed a deal to play with the Long Island Ducks.

    As of May, 2009, Benitez is currently on the Active Roster for the Newark Bears of the Atlantic League.

    same here, came back a few days ago, just when the Stros are winning. Left time for 2 weeks and the Stros slumped.

    No kidding, wish his back could have held up better and he could have been spared some of the fluke injuries. He and Vizquel were the best I've seen since Oz.

    Huge blow to Norris' psyche. He had to be pretty devastated he didn't get that call.

    I'm even more shocked the batter didn't swing. You deserve to strike out if you take that pitch with two strikes.
