I know I'm late, but can anyone give a quick recap on how Albers looked the other night? I saw he threw 5 scoreless, is he gonna start getting some regular time?
Yeah...and if it wasn't for Scott we wouldn't have any runs...Man, Lance would have torched this guy if he was able to play..lets hope we can holdem and get some runs....
Aalbers looked really good last night. He came in and pitched 5 scoreless innings. We actually came back and we were only down by 2 runs and then Light on came in and gave up two runs and ruined the rally..Theres your recap
And now you see how important quality pitching is. Right now, this team is getting bad starts from 3 pitchers every 5 days... you can trot out the bronx bombers for an everyday lineup and you're still not going to be in the playoff race.
If we can go ahead right here we will win this game !! Our bullpen( that doesn't include Lidge ) looks like they have got their **** together now and the D-backs are not going to score anymore runs unless Garner puts Lidge in which I wouldn't be surprised..
It does seem that way, doesn't it... especially with the daily threads popping up everyday about how this team "HAS TO GET A BAT", or how posters constantly cry about having Ausmus in the lineup. This team may, in fact, benefit more NOW by having Hirsh/Albers in the rotation... then they would by trading for Tejada or Soriano. Hell... Pete Munro was giving us quality starts down the strech in 2004... that's more than you can count on right now for Buchholz, Backe... and even Pettite.
I think that wasn't that horrible of a call .. he was definitely well out of the basepath and he took too much of a chance there. At least it was an over-aggressive mistake.
i cannot say enough bad things about biggio and ausmus. i just can't. they just make me so damn nauseous.
If Willy T keeps hitting like this his stock will go up !!! Guys Once they go to their bullpen we are in trouble...
