When the pitchers motion moves towards the plate but he does not throw the pitch and he stops his motion or steps off of the rubber....Thats why pictures step off of the rubber if they want the runners to get back on base...

its when a pitcher doesn't make a clean throw to home or to a base...theres a glitch in the movement going to the plate or a base

in order to fake the runner on base sometimes a pitcher screws up

I know JunkyardDwg! It's really freaking me out now. But since I'm such a huge Astros fan, maybe I should keeping dogging Everett right before he comes up to bat hoping that is some kind of lucky charm! Too funny! As long as we win...whatever it takes.

I'm loving this; Roger's picking up where Roy left off, just moving quickly through that lineup.

Thats weird..they just showed the pitching match ups for the Padres series and where Backe and Buchholtz would pitch is showed TBA. Now I know why Bucholtz won't pitch but why does it show TBA for Backe ? Did I miss something ? maybe we are looking for another starter...... :p

I think you're looking at the hit column... its still 1-0 Milwaukee.

How about St. Louis about to be swept in a FOUR game series by the hapless Cubs... just goes to show you how flawwed every single on of the NL teams are (including the Mets... who need another quality starter).

It'd be nice to get another run here so that when he does go after someone, it doesn't bring the tying run to the plate.
