Tim doesn't look happy... probably doesn't like the fact that every single thing he works on gets leaked to the media.

Willy is having a big impact on these games. I dont see him leaving the lineup anytime soon.

If Taveras can bring this type of game everday he'd be a great leadoff hitter ...this is the type of ball I'd love to see more of; leadoff single, stolen base; now runner on 2nd with no outs.

Useless...hardly. Horrible at the plate, well yeah.

Damn, that hit to Biggio is the kind that can break your arm, and that's the last thing this team needs...another injury

I have to agree. I can't understand why we still have Ausmus taking up a space in the lineup. Between him, Everett, and the pitcher's spot it is no wonder we have the weakest offense in the NL and a guaranteed 1-2-3 inning in many many cases. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Everett is the greatest defensive SS and Ausmus is the greatest signal caller, yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. Facts are facts, just about every rally, every critical clutch situation, those 2 are simply not getting it done. I've said before, I can understand maybe keeping one position player because his defense is so valuable or because he is a speed demon on the base paths but I don't think that really applies to either player let alone keeping both of them.

Saying he's completely useless ignores his ability to call games...he's practicaly a coach on the field, which definitely helps Garner and co. I'm sure. Plus he's still adept at blocking balls, so I trust him a helluva lot more than Munson when Lidge comes into the game. That said, he's probably better suited to fill a player/coach role at this point, catching every fifth or two fifths game(s)...but that's only if there's a better replacement (offesnively) than him, and right now there isn't; jury's still out on House as he was only recently called up to RR.

It's so fun watching the game when Clemens actually gets run support...he's clicking, the offense is producing...so far so good.

I was just thinking about Ausmus being called such a good signal caller but how many times this year have we had an 0-2 count and they blast it out of the universe or they get a hit. He is paid to throw people out and hit. Everytime someone gets a single I always say " you might as well put him on first..."
