    What a fun game!!

Shame for Astros to lose, but it was maybe the best game of the season....D-Backs are a really good team!

At least a positive note from this game is that they do seem be putting up more of a fight recently....baby steps I guess, but the calendar is seriously working against us now. They gotta get over the hump and start a winning streak, starting tomorrow.

I'm upset because I hate when the Stro's, Rox's, and Texans lose but I am very proud of this team...I can honestly say that they really tried and battled for once...They are putting up runs and trying..After reading Pettites article about not having it in him or the desire to play anymore maybe we should trade him to the Yanks...I mean when someone says they don't have the desire and its showing on the field why play ? I like Pettite but hes no longer the SURE thing like he used to be. He is very hard on himself and I know he;s a battler but he has been pretty bad lately...This ones not to blame on him though..lets Celebrate Luke Scott for popping his cherry tonight...Way to Go Luke...first cycle since 2002 for the Astros... ;)

Send down Backe and Bucholtz and bring up Hirsh and Sampson.

Our bat has been added fellas, and his name is Luke Scott.

Oh yeah, being that the Astros are 7 games out, they're done.

Yeah....7 back in Late Late July is tough.

A comeback this season would be more incredible than the past two seasons.

I actually consider trading Clemens and look towards '07.

Don't rent a player this season...it would be a waste.

I told you guys that Scott was ready, and Hirsch is MILES better than Backe...MILES !!!!!!

This organization confounds me sometimes, they bring some people up slowly and others rocket through.

It was pretty clear that once Scott got over the funk of "Failing" in his first time in the bigs that he was ready.

Hirsch should be starting over everyone except Oswalt and Clemens....especially since Pettite has been sucking HORRIBLY this year.

Last night's game was a roller coaster for me. My boy Backe, I still love him, but I am really disappointed in his performance. He is such a good pitcher and hitter and he was trying his hardest. I just am in shock over him and Buchholz this week. I actually cried. And the player pics for the 70s theme, freaking priceless. If anyone finds them online would you please let me know so that I can make a screensaver with them? Luke Scott--all I am going to say is I already knew and no one would believe me. Not on here so much. I was really sorry for Andy because he wanted to help so bad and he's so not pleased with himself and I hate to see him down talk himself, he is so much better than this and we all know it. Wheeler and Qualls are on point, Willy is just his self and I love it, Preston is the happy chipper guy to keep everybody happy with skills and it's just a shame we lost that one. Tonight is a my favorite pitcher probably ever in the history of the game and if we can have the bats we had last night and he shuts them down (Backe tried) I think tonight will be a great win and the start of something sweet. GO STROS!!

100% right. Backe stuff right now is below average. Bucholtz doesn't have the mental makeup right now. There is no reason why Hirsh shouldn't be in the big leagues right now. Also Chris Sampson should also be here. He has a good sinker and knows how to pitch. Purpura and Garner have ruined this team. Garner has no confidence in Dave Borkowski when has been one of their best relievers. Instead he brings in AP after one day of rest.

Is Chris Burke hurt, or on the trading block?

The fact that Willy has gotten a ton of playing time lately makes me believe that they're either trying to showcase Taveras for a trade, or they're trying to trade Burke (and they don't want him to risk injury... with his gimpy shoulder that could pop out at any minute).

great job Willy T. I think it is important to have some speed in the lineup. I like the way he has been playing lately, I would probably sit Wilson to get Burke in the lineup.

I am afraid Everett is leaving us. I have a really bad feeling. We better get some badass SS that has as much heart and talent with his glove as Adam. I will miss him sooooo much.
