    Didn't think we'd get out of that inning without giving up any runs. Byrdak made a fool out of me for my "first guess" of Coop going with him in that spot.

    I thought the Cubs would get at least a run after the way that inning started... good recovery by Ortiz/Brydak/Arias. Good decisions by Coop as well.

    Arias gets some nasty movement on his pitches. When he's in control, he's pretty darn effective.

    He has a feed coming in from RJ's Twitter account.

    Unfortunately, this happens to be the last of the daily live blogs due to the loss of staff at the Chron. I think he plans on still doing it occasionally though.

    not sure i've ever heard a crowd reaction like that one to bourn's catch. was a collective sound of shock before the cheering began.
