PUT his AZZ on the bench and he can call the game from there.

I could tell that Ausmus wasnt confident at all when they showed him in the on deck circle. However, if he bunted....we would have had 1 run in on Oswalts groundout.

Bring J.R. House up...let him bat while Ausmus catches....if only it were that easy. Outside of Willy and Scott, there hasn't been much action from the hitters. So it's not all on Ausmus.

Were a team that needs to manufacture runs. I guess Garner doesnt see it that way.

This is an ENRAGING performance by this team, Ensberg and Ausmus in particular. Those two are just killing this team and killing our playoff hopes in the process. Lamb must be played instead of Ensberg, House or Munson must be played in favor of Ausmus. I'd like to see both, but Ensberg must be removed. Just one or two RISP hits and we could be up like 7-2 right now.

They are looking like the Astros from a month ago, not the the team that had won 8 of 10 up until saturday. This is a pivotal game, a pivotal series in the season. We have to finf a way to win this game so we can stop the L streak at 2, go to 2 under .500 instead of 4.

this umpire sucks...humongous k zone for zambrano and consistently squeezing roy. i dont get it

btw im willing to bet that if ausmus bunts and roy stays in the game to bat, the cubs move the infield in (in a 2 run game) and we score nothin...its just another issue of bad situational hitting, once again im gonna defend garner and say hes really not at fault here

Glad qualls could keep them at bay to give us a chance to come back.

I hope we'll win this series. I believe we can, easily. But man. The damn cubbies always seem to play really good against us and the cards.

Just as we get close our offense SHUTS down and now our bullpen goes back to sucking too.

And can someone explain to me why Garner does not have Luke Scott batting 4th? Put Berkman and Scott together to make some noise.

Bad decicion to walk Jones. Nevin was 2-3 and accounted for all the Cubs runs tonight. He made us pay again.

Unbelievable that the Astros have yet to take advantage of an off-night by Zambrano. Better late than never though; get something started.
