Roy should have hit Nevin in the back.

exactly. we may as well have just wrapped up the inning and gotten our gloves once ensberg came up. with scott, you'll get a quality AB.

and now chicago just gets a guy on and hits a homer, whereas we like to create tons of traffic and then leave them on.

Isn't that Nevin's 18th HR against us, or something like that, since being traded back to the NL? The guy OWNS us.... just like most former and current Padres own MMP.

Its strange how some guys just continue to kill the Astros, no matter where they play... makes you think they oughta re-think the scouting reports they have on some of these guys.

I was wondering why Ramirez didn't get beaned. Roy complains like no other about the lack of run support, and when he gets a chance to stick up for his team mate he doesn't do jack. (Maybe he's just waiting for Barrett to come up ;) )

Well, on cue. Luke leads off the 4th with a double. Good hustle to stretch it.

    And it's a 2-2 ballgame if Garner isn't clueless. That's nice.

Now I hope Roy nails Zambrano just for the fun of it... or at least brush him back.

Hell, if you're not carefull with Zambrano, he'll take you deep... pitch him inside, Roy.

Well, Phil Nevin burns Roy O again, you could tell Oswalt was playing the fire, he doesn't look his best tonite, while Morgan Ensberg has KILLED the Astros on offense as usual. He's Hitting ahead of Luke Scott who continues to be great, hitting a double as we speak, nut with nobody on base. He should be hitting fifth.

Umpires must really dislike Adam Everett. I can recall multiple times in the last couple weeks that he's been in bang-bang plays that could easily go either way, and almost all of them he's called out. Unfortunate.

Astros have had a lot of baserunners early in this game with nothing to show for it.

If Zambrano plunking Huff was intentional then you can talk about retaliation but I don't think it was. With a runner on 3rd and Barrett behind the plate, there's too much a chance of throwing it away and allowing Tavares to score. The HBP wasn't intentional so I don't think there should be any retaliation.

Either that or Roy is waiting for Zambrano to come to the plate.

By the way, I'm a little curious with the decision not to have Everett bunt.

Is Ausmus so bad now that we think it's not even worth advancing the runner to third with under two outs? It might actually be the right decision.

7 stranded, at least 4 RISP that I can think of. Zero runs. This is a classic.
