Thirded! Forgot how clean and awesome those uniforms were. They do have a less than stellar record in the post-season though... (although, considering how tough the last two (and probably next two) seasons have been, it'd be great to have the chance to be dominated by Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz/Brown/Hitchcock again!). Go 'stros!
I do as well. These are by far my favorite Astros unis of all time. My favorite combination with this color scheme was the Sunday home jersey that was all blue with the gold star on the chest. If the Astros announced today that they were simply going to wear these jerseys from now on, I would support it.
I read in the paper this morning that the team wants to wear them again today, but in order to do so, they would have to get approval from both the Brewers and MLB.
In making the decision to allow the Astros to wear said jerseys, I had to balance the competing needs of the Brewers and Major League Baseball. Therefore the Astros will be allowed to wear said jerseys, but the game will be played before a neutral crowd in Chicago. A city conveniently close to Milwaukee but far enough that their fans couldn't possibly drive there. I mean, that'd be ridiculous right? No way fans from one of those cities drive to the other city. They're in separate states for Pete's sake. Sincerely, Allan H. (Bud) Selig Commissioner of Baseball
