Lee almost falling down on a soft grounder to him. Crowd with an loud uneasy sigh you could hear on the TV. LOL
I think the best-case scenario with Happ is one of two things: A. Because of the type of pitcher he is, he pitches well into his mid-30s and gets better with age, helping what is hopefully a conteding Astros team in 2015 and beyond. B. He pitches well for us over the next 2 years or so and we flip him for high quality, young prospects. Either of those would be great outcomes.
What a debut for the newbie! This is the dawning of a new era for Astros fans. My feelings about Roy mixed, but I will miss Berkman unequivocally. Best wishes to Puma, even though he'll be wearing the evil pinstripes.
9:15 PM - Jeff Keppinger hits Chick-Fil-A pole. 9:20 PM - Carlos Lee pulled from the game. 9:27 PM - Chick-Fil-A coupons reported missing. 9:28 PM - Carlos Lee reported missing. Waiting for updates...
Great game. It felt special for some reason...almost like handing the baton off to the next generation of players with Berkman leaving tomorrow. We needed this huge shake-up. Should be fun watching these new guys play together. It's definitely a new era in Astros baseball...not lacking on some excitement at least. Get them young guys out there and get them experience. Be all you can ball.
I was wondering for a moment..... then I realized that we won't be finding anyone to unload him onto anytime soon...
I think Berkman will be back with the Astros later on. He'll retire an Astro. As for Oswalt, I'm not so sure.
I know its way off topic, but is anyone watching the Cubbies getting killed? Colorado batted around TWICE and scored 12 runs all with TWO outs in the 8th inning
Was just about to post something about it. Cubs fans are going nuts on the CBS game blog, as are Cubs haters. It's hilarious. Check out some of the comments: http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/gametracker/live/MLB_20100730_CHC@COL?tag=ATLbox1729379;ATLscore1729379
