    Lidge had a nasty slider but he only faced one batter? Take him out when he's throwing his slider for strikes. Nice move.

    The slider looked like a strike... but broke away at the last second.

    That's his "good" slider... and it was definitely there last night. Once again, if he gets those mechanics back to throw that pitch consistently (which he did in 2003, and 04... not much in 05 despite his dominance), he'll be fine.
