why have i now heard 4 people including Mike Stanton say walk the bases loaded? just because they saw that in the angels series? why is it necessary in this spot, and why wouldn't you just walk 1? rasmus isn't more of a threat than gattis. and the pitcher becomes way less dangerous with the bases loaded.
Springer, Altuve Correa and Rasmus are a great 1-2-3-4 punch. Castro went his usually o'fer. Prefer Gattis at catcher. Valbuena 3 k's woof.
right, but the odds that a ball could be hit to induce a force at home, that wouldn't also have been able to turn into a 2nd/1st double play are pretty minuscule, no? then you're adding in the fact that your pitcher's arsenal is reduced.
This is beautiful. Love the reactions by Correa and Springer <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="es" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Walkoff?src=hash">#Walkoff</a> vibes: <a href="https://t.co/WCyviC5e01">https://t.co/WCyviC5e01</a> <a href="https://t.co/4tSYn8P5JM">pic.twitter.com/4tSYn8P5JM</a></p>— MLB (@MLB) <a href="https://twitter.com/MLB/status/739255435618717697">June 5, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
team definitely seems more relaxed and in sync. We aren't out of the hole yet but its good to see them congeal more and have fun again
For all the wrong moves by Hinch, the biggest move has been Springer hitting lead-off. That move has made up for a lot of the bad moves. Including tonight.
i lost it when i was at the game and saw a big black guy ran on the field with the american flag. weird as heck.
Actually, paste year springer was very good as lead off hitter so no idea why he moved him from that spot.
my friend, it was the only correct play. In this game altuve was having more DPS than alexis texas. Had to stay away from that. With one out you can score springer with keeping the ball in play.
