Some of you are insufferable. You can't expect the pen to be completely lights out all the time. We have some real studs that make up our pen. Best record. Contributions from all over. Great stuff.
Must be frustrating the rangers, on their own 6 game winning streak, to have gained no ground in spite of the Astros playing the Yankees
Jesus people the only bullpen arm that faltered this game was Diaz, who will be back in AAA tomorrow. Lets not act like it was some huge meltdown.
I guess taking a series from the Yankees could quell the whispers about the Astros not playing anyone of note. Maybe maybe no
The Astros are a load. Beating the red hot Yankees in Yankee Stadium three games out of four. I am not sure I can ever recall the Astros doing that. The Cubs might want to keep track of this team.
so apparently this Derek Jeter fellow played for the yankees I presume? I was scared for a second...that I had accidentally purchased the "YES" network because I was getting the New York feed but it was just ESPN. =/ Also surprised they didn't bring interview kids who played kickball with jeter back in pre-k.
We went to the Thursday and Friday games. We kicked their ass this weekend and they knew it. Yankees fans were cool for the most part
Well, the only appropriate course of action after an Astros win is to glom over the things they did wrong.
Yeah, apparently they had some sort of ceremony for him today. I figured ESPN would have given it a little more coverage.
So this Derik Jetter guy they kept talking about, is he good? Do we have enough prospects to trade for him?
Anyway, I said it on the TCB's game thread comments but it bears repeating here: I found it really interesting that the Astros beating the absolute snot out of the Yankees was not being more heavily covered amidst the Jeter-loving. There was no surprise or backhanded compliments from the BTN crew. They just went along with it as if the Astros f*ck-stomping the 2nd best team in the league was an everyday occurrence. I like that level of expectation.
Some weekends you accidentally mix bath salts with wasabi, and it all goes to hell, but this weekend you watched the Astros biiotch slap the Yankees on their own hallow soil.
There were some Morton pitches that were jaw dropping to me. He threw a 99mph sinker that dropped at least 6 in and clipped the bottom of the zone. That's some Syndergard-level stuff to throw something that hard with that much movement IN THE ZONE.
