I'm starting to wonder if he's tipping his pitches or something. Not making excuses but that last AB was ridiculous.
I'm hoping Feliz can eventually get into the rotation along with LMJ and shift McHugh toward the end of the rotation where he belongs.
Look at Mchugh advanced stats and you would see he was blessed with a **** ton of run support. Dude averaged more then a hit a inning
So they replaced Kazmir with Fister. We know that. They picked a short FA deal over a long one for a dude who has been poor in the 2nd half in his good years. Regardless, who cares? The offseason is over. Can we stop rehashing what you wished? It's irrelevant (as is Joe Mauer--I promise).
Game still early...Goal is to take 2 games outta 3 anyways...rough start for McHugh..not ready to throw him under the bus Yet
Clutch first performance, then was mediocre his second performance when it really mattered most. Not blaming the game on him but overall he was average in that series. We really needed a #2 this off season and thats why so many of us kept stating that over and over
McHugh is still in your rotation. And, barring injury, he will get just as many starts throughout the year if his first game was Friday night instead of tonight, so what's the big deal?
Y'all need to stop overreacting. Its one bad start. If he has a string of 3-4 bad starts then we can start worrying.
Remember that this wasn't exactly an anomaly. McHugh always has trouble in the 1st.

If only McHugh could skip the first inning each start.
