Not for me, homie. If this is the most infuriating for you, you're in a good spot. Signed, 1986, 1998, 2005, and 2020 Astros
The Astros are also 2.5 games out of having the best record in the AL. 6 teams are just bunched up for 5 playoff spots. But three teams would all have to catch the Astros for them to miss the playoffs, and one of those has lost 13 of 19 games. Astros, despite having the 3rd best record, still are given the best sportsbetter odds to make the World Series from the AL (I would pick the White Sox, personally). I think Astros fans (and all fans) look at the short-term too much and find trends where none really exist. Teams randomly go through hot and cold spells all through the season and even the best teams will spend a huge chunk of the season playing 0.500ish baseball.
Dusty giving away games will come back to haunt us... Every time we had a chance to sweep a team, Dusty rests a mfer... Would've been very nice to rest players when we're up 10+ games in the division... Can we rest Dusty every 3rd game?
Missing Bregs/Alvarez/Tucker and breaking in Chaz, Meyers, plus Maldy/Castro not hitting their weight are the issues with the offense. Then you have Dusty mismanaging the bullpen and this is why the Astros are where they're at tonight.
Correct me if I am wrong, but you are the only person to mention AJ Hinch in the past 76 hours or so, and you do it regularly.
I never talk about Hinch. You just make stuff up because you only have the ability to troll. You never post in this forum outside of talking **** when we are losing or defending Baker. It's sad that you have nothing better to do with your time
Oh I agree, if healthy we have a great shot, although I have zero confidence Dusty will make the right moves in the pen to get it done, we came very close last year in spite of him But everyone thinking that making the playoffs is a given right now is sorely mistaken. We are in a fight for a spot right now, every game has significant importance
Maldanado is fine as our catcher when everyone is healthy. We have enough offense to be fine and his defense is great. When we are missing3, 4 of the offensive studs him being a hole in the offense is magnified
For me this team is more infuriating because I have higher expectations. And I don't remember a team that plays so up to their competition and so down to their competition. It's one of the most frustrating things to watch us get clowned by these trash baseball teams. 2020 doesn't really count. I mean sure that was frustrating, especially the regular season, but we still clawed our way to game 7 of the ALCS and just kept pitching to Randy Arozarena for no particular good reason. But it was 60 games, the season was a joke.
The good thing is Yordan got some rest last night bc Taylor Jones took his place in the lineup, presumably bc Dusty didn't want Yordan and his .295 average against lefties.
