Nearly a 3 run HR by Walker Nearly a 3 run HR by Altuve Meyers RBI double just foul Just a lot of close calls.
I think he must be referring to the Astros. Clemens in 05 had to be under where Hunter is. Clemens headed into August threatening Gibson in 68 (ERA under 1.30). Had a shutout through 6 vs Pittsburgh then got blown up in the 7th. He was only decent the rest of the way. Correction it was against Milwaukee. He was gonna be almost down to 1.20 in the middle of August. He was 1.50 after this 16th start. JV from 2022 maybe. Pedro Martinez possibly the year he ended up 1.74. And then I'll guess DeGrom one of those years where he was a machine. Yep Pedro in 2000, 1.49. Yep DeGrom 2018, 1.69. So Gibson, Pedro, DeGrom, Clemens?
I just caught a second of the graphic on the Rockies broadcast...1 was one of Nolan's years, can't remember the others. ETA: yes, I forgot to mention "Astros" history
Yeah it would not be all that surprising. I stated the case for the upset. One bad pitch (Moniak). Lack of clutch hitting (definitely been the case in those early innings). We will see if the bullpen falls or the defense allows unearned runs that cost us (my other 2 reasons for a surprising loss).
Radio mentioned this his last start.... Lowest ERA in Astros history thru 15 starts (in order) Nolan Clemens JV Hunter Wilson
Does Hunter have a 6th inning? Can't be that hot in Colorado. My guess is he will. We have 9 straight days of baseball. If you can get the extra inning from the starter, you do it.
Game ain't over. SF and Milwaukee have lost to them twice, the Yanks, Rays and Pads once. Those are all postseason teams I believe, and I'm sure they're not too embarrassed about it, because baseball.
88 degrees in the sun in high elevation will drain you, even just hiking around. He looked done last inning, but who knows after this long rest. Anybody warming up in the pen?
