    And Jason Bay is better than most hitters in the league... you're screwed either way, but walking him is still the safer option.

    Cards announcers dissing Houston now... saying that they should all be notified right away, because it will let all the steam out of those guys.

    Thats what I was thinking....The game isn't over for the Padres either. If it is it's just one game for the Cards. We have to win this game though.

    What a collection of fantastic pressure games there are tonight. 'Stros-Pirates in extras; Cards-Padres tight the whole way; Dodgers just came back to take the lead on the Rockies; Phils and Nats have been trading runs for a couple innings and are in the 10th. Sheesh.

    base wasn't open, unless you call 3rd being open, "open". Tough call with 2 outs...i could go either way.

    Yea he had the Lidge flare to hit when he blasted that one. He's great at hitting homers off of great relievers and then helping to ruin their career. I'm sure this Meredith guy with his sub 1 ERA goes to hell after this one.
