Atlanta is a really good team. I don't look for New Orleans to beat them. But they will be competitive with them.

Does hating on Reggie Bush and Vince young (I don't know if you've done that or not but many have) make you guys feel better about Mario Williams not doing anything whatsoever? Just a question I'm interested in hearing an answer to.
That's all people have done since he didn't look good in the preseason. Look, I think most people are rooting for the kid to be a star but they have t olisten to the critcism because as so many have pointed out what we're seeing and what we were told when the pick was made are two completely different things.
Where did I say Mario was doing well? I am just not as impressed with Bush so far. I pay my RB $50M for him to run, not line up in the slot.......

I don't care if you started the VY/Carr comparisons in the first place or not. The fact is that you had no problem calling VY worthless in Tenn. because his TD came when the Chargers were up 30-0. Yet...Carr's TD's (when the Colts were up 30-3) showed that he wasn't a "fluke." What the hell does that mean? So you consider rookie throwing a TD in garbage time "worthless" but a 5th year veteran throws 3 in almost the exact same scenario impresses you? You called the Titans one of the bottom 2 teams in the league like it is a knock on VY or something. Who do you consider the other team? Where does that rank us? Titans: 0-2, Texans: 0-2, I can watch all the football I want but that still doesn't change the fact that no matter how bad the Titans are, we are just as bad. I hope Mario pans out like you do, but instead of telling other posters to "learn something" you should learn that bashing VY and/or Bush isn't going to make Mario look any better.
Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I'm waiting for more than 2 games to be played before passing judgment on Mario. I need a larger sample size before declaring him a bust, just like I need a larger sample size before declaring Bush to be nothing but a slot receiver. It's just too early to tell... for ANY rookie.
David Carr played well throughout the game...he made plays when he could. I understand his touchdowns came in the 4th quarter...Im not saying the guy is All-World. If the rest of the team helps him out a bit, he can do some serious damage because he was ON his game, making good decisions and nice passes. If you watch Vince Young actually play, you would see some serious weaknesses in his game. His biggest strength, running, is barely even a strength on this level. The guy has a long, long way to go. Im not bashing him at all to make MW look better. MW has sucked ass...and he better start showing some signs of life. My opinion on VY has nothing to do with Mario. The only reason I brought up Vince Young is because I honestly dont see how the Titans could be any happier with him than we are with Mario. They both have tough positions to play and they really havent done jack to impress. But sure, Vince is a rookie, cut him some slack...yet, lets not cut Mario some slack. Again, you seriously need to watch some Titans games before you declare us as bad as they are. There are 11 teams that are 0-2...does that mean that they all suck equally? Sure, on the stat sheet, the answer is yes...in reality, its a far cry from it. Are we as good as the Carolina Panthers or the Tampa Bay Bucs? Hells no. I think its quite obvious that the Titans and Raiders, as of now, are in more trouble than any other two teams in the league. Say what you want...there is more to football than pointing to the scoreboard.
you factor in a lot more development time for a rookie QB than you do for a defensive end. i'll say it again, we were told that one of the reasons to take mario was immediate impact. mario needs to show us something substantial this year to justify a #1 pick. i'm not saying he won't. but he needs to.
Maybe, maybe not. However, you also don't hear me comparing him to Reggie White before he has done a damn thing either.
i posted this in another thread but it fits in here also... first of all, VY and BUSh aren't even the best qb/rb from the draft...The best qb is Jay Cutler and the best rb is Lawerence Maroney .....with this crappy OL EVERY fan/news outlet/espn would be b****ing how the Texans are wasting VY or Bush's talents with this crappy OL....so its mute point...even IF the texans got VY or BUsh there would STILL be b****ing or perhaps even MORE than there already is....they would still be 0-2 and everyone would be saying "should have drafted so and so"...it will never end....if we took VY then everyone wants Bush...if we took Bush (with his amazing 6 yrds rushing last week) everyone would be wanting VY.... Ironically, niether of these two will end up being the best...its Cutler and Maroney....okay carry on !!!!
one more thing... what if he ends up not being an end? what if they play him at tackle, instead. i have to say...i'd be pretty disappointed in that. i'd be pretty disappointed in spending the #1 overall pick on a guy we thought could play end but is better suited to play tackle.
I doubt it, he's too tall and lean, he's a natural end. If he can be manhandled one on one on the exterior, it will only get worse in the interior.
and just top clarify...Bush has more overall talent than Maroney but we didnt need a third reciever we needed a TRUE rb..thats Maroney...and a TRUE qb with "IT" Cutler has "IT" written all over him...Im really surprised Kube didnt want a qb or rb I guess he thought he is so smart he can take average telents like Carr and Lundy and transform them into a magical Denver clone....If they did it over, they would probably take bush but ONLY because of public relations and the insane hype over this little cocky midget(Bush)...yes I hate Bush and no I didnt goto UT....Im just sick of the hype when theres a bigger more durable more reliable rb named Lawrence Maroney who will end up with more rushing yards (not total yards) BOOK IT!!!
