As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the game cast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else.

    7-7 J.A. Happ, LHP (3-10, 5.63) vs. Brad Hand, LHP (0-3, 3.79) 6:10 on FSH

7-8 Jordan Lyles, RHP (0-3, 4.17) vs. Javier Vazquez, RHP (4-8, 5.64) 6:10 on FSH

7-9 Brett Myers, RHP (3-8, 4.67) vs. Ricky Nolasco, RHP (5-5, 3.91) 6:10 on FSH

7-10 Wandy Rodriguez, LHP (6-5, 3.25) vs. Chris Volstad, RHP (4-8, 5.46) 12:10 on FSH

That's harsh. I think the Good Guys win at least one game.

and this side of five years ago, if you saw "four game sweep" you assumed the prediction was "WWWW".

    better days will come again.

At least he's real young so he can be part of the next relevant Astros team in 2016 or so.

Oh... nevermind... he turns 29 in a few months.

I still hold out hope for Happ to be a decent #4 guy, he had a good body of work coming into the season but I think his confidence is shot.

That said, some time in triple A would probably be best for him to get his act together.

Colon came down to earth tonight for the Yanks. I think we could be heading for a bidding war for Wandy between the Yanks and Sox. Hughes came back to pitch okay but wasn't very reassuring and Garcia is in the same boat as Colon. Sox have Lester hurt, Dice-K out for the year and Buchholz injured as well, they should also be looking for a starting pitcher.

Should be a fun July 31st.

I watched that game. Hughes was lousy. Can't look at the boxscore for that one. The Indians didn't take advantage of him with their scuffling offense. Most offenses would have punished him last night.

But yea, there should be plenty of interest in Wandy..

Yea, I was trying to be somewhat nice to Hughes. His location and velocity was way off...i'd be concerned if I was a Yankee fan.

About Hughes, yea... but they'll just buy more talent if he doesn't work out.

As far as Happ, he is certainly a better pitcher than we've seen this season. He has more than enough of a track record as evidence. The problem is his age. Best case scenario is that he improves enough in the near future (next year or two) that we can use him as part of a trade to get younger talent.

You can just hear JD's frustration when talking about Happ...the issues are pretty obvious.

It would be cool if they measured and tracked bat speed of all players. I wonder where Pence would rank.

That Happ needs to stop nibbling and go after guys. More than anything, his tone when speaking about what has gone wrong for Happ sounds like he is truly fustrated.

Another fustrating start for Happ...I would send him to the minors. Mills, during his weekly interview today, didn't rule out the possiblity but gave a pretty vague answer when asked about Happ to the minors.

He already had the worst ERA+ (adjusted for ballpark) coming into this game. Obviously, that just got worse.

    3rd worst WHIP after tonight.
