No I didn’t. I was horrified we would be putting out the same line up after the ASB as before… this isn’t close to a good enough line up to consistently win games at the MLB level. Line up is a disaster and I thought it was weak at full strength let alone minus Pena, Alvarez and Meyers.
Anybody really think Pena is not ready to go? This is ridiculous. And if McCormick isn't in center field tomorrow, then we aren't trying to win games at this point.
The team got so jacked up to play all those good teams and it has been a bit of a let down. However, the Mariners realize how important this series is, we have to win at least 1 game.... Would be nice to have the guys back so it isn't a AAA lineup after the 6 hole, but that should be soon-ish. Just got to hang on. DD
Buck, my dude, DD didn't say anything there that warranted that. Are we applying a knee jerk reaction purity test now? You and I would both fail that, you know. We all would. Let's agree that we hate the Mariners.
It's just not on Lance only (no offense) but will take Mariners -1,5 in 2nd game with all silly $ I have in gaming account. The 3rd game seeing Brown penciled in seems way too important for us so early in season. If he gets roughed up again, we might be royally fkd and spiraling down for longer period. Just a terrible time to realise Chas had those adults as parents who can't tell which is right/left. Throw right, bat left and you're good to go. League is full of dudes like that. Chas as a kid was standing front of mirrow chomping his hands trying to figure which is which. In Holliday family you get b*tch slapped even as joke trying hitting as righty. Bad luck that only team seeing any value in trading for Walker already have Freeman & Ohtani blocking him so 3y of this coming up. Might be a trip to watch him and Altuve in couple of years. Every contending team in AL feels so flawed again that if somebody like Yankees nail the trade deadline, they are in WS again. The Toronto FO have walk years so if we are toast Im putting my hopes in them to stop NY mfers doing all possible things.
Walter did his job - again. Nothing happened yesterday that was a surprise. Just got to keep hoping for a bit more luck until reinforcements arrive.
They obv lack a medical “specialist”… …but even more glaring is their Strength/Conditioning & Nutritional STAFF. HowTF this team has more injuries and glass-bones than any other in the league is absolutely bonkers. edit: #stopskippinglegday
I guess loser ball refers to the pre Golden Age Astros. Yeah the lineups they have been putting out there due to injuries might be worse than some of those lineups. There shouldn't be surprises that this team is struggling. The only surprise/concern would be Hunter Brown's recent outings but I think he'll be fine.
wrong. THE ONLY asset we should be trading for is an ELITE TOR SP. Someone who makes FV/HB strive to be better than. No, JV is NOT my pick. He’s retired afaik… get Skenes (or any #1 from a non-contending club) & shut the book. This ballclub has been built on solid balls-to-walls pitching staffs over the past 20-30 years. GET AN ELITE #1-or-2 pitcher and this team will win a couple more WS while the window remains open.
