Only switch being flipped is the electric chair to end our misery.

Seven is the Astros unlucky number....as in seven games under .500. They seem to be rotating around seven like a severed head.

The worst part about this season is nobody is the clear favorite to win the division.

But it doesn't feel like the Astros have a complete enough team to catch up and take control of the division.

You can't trust the bullpen late in games.

16 losses I believe from relievers. Even if you split those you'd be leading the division right now.

The problem is they ARE good enough. They just aren't playing well enough, getting managed well enough, or taking advantage of things handed to them. Bad luck only goes so far. But stick with what you are doing . . . cause just wait until everyone is hitting on all cylinders. Barf.

Literally no one would roast Espada for not using Montero. And Montero pitching his 3rd day in a row? Come on now.

This. They absolutely are good enough...just not playing like it consistently enough.

    Talented enough? ABSOLUTELY
    Smart enough? Nope.

Now the Giants think they are buyers. We did that.

Don't forget back to back games w very costly errors late. And while it wasn't an error, Dubon not simply tagging the runner heading to first before throwing home was just a major gaffe since the runner on 3rd never even left the bag.

They're literally doing all they can to not win games late. It's so frustrating bc it's so damn antithetical to what we've been accustomed to this golden era of Astros baseball.

Considering the back of baseball card gold gloves, the defense has been pitiful thus year. And it's more than just a firstbaseman that struggles catching a ball.

Dubon's play last night is the perfect example why he has not played there more.

Hasn't Loperfido been assigned there in AAA despite CF range...? And yet...

I don't know. That's a weird play and I'm not sure many first basemen pull a double play out of that. That being said - it wasn't the reason why we lost the game. We had 5 people on the roster that could have maybe played 1st base. Abreu, Singleton, Cabbage, Lopertini, Dubon. In that situation . . . maybe Singleton pulls of the tag and throw home, but then it's not a force and I don't like anyone's chances in the midst of chaos. Abreu likely couldn't have charged effectively and tagged. Lopertini and Cabbage . . . maybe they do, maybe they don't. Giants still win that game. Dubon's lack of tag . . . not nearly as big of a problem as his wiff at 3rd in Anaheim.

He has played there some, but even when sent down last time regardless of hitting well north of .300 for a team struggling on offense, he played mainly CF

Im sure Brown is thinking might as well keep him in CF since Espada ain’t finna play him at 1B anyway

Astros games used to have my full undivided attention, now they're just background noise.
