All series talk goes in here. DO NOT GIVE PLAY-BY-PLAY! If you need PBP try Yahoo, ESPN, or Sportsline.

Left Handed starters = no Scott, Lamb and Berkman right handed at the plate

Houston as a team hits .292 with a .366 OBP (both 2nd in the NL) vs. left handed pitching.

MLB scheduling is stupid, but not for that reason. Home-and-home series have been around for a long, long time and they're cool with me.

It's six games against the freaking Rangers and eighteen or so games against other junior circuit teams about whom I don't give a rat's ass, all at the expense of games against the Dodgers and Braves (our *real* traditional rivals), that is stupid.

I thought interleague play was the cat's meow when they instituted it. I've done a 180. I'm sick of it. Especially this ridiculous attempt to create a rivalry based on "region". I want the Dodgers to come to town twice a year, dammit. And I want to boo their asses out of town six or seven games.

    Make it so, MLB.

WWW ... gotta get back to winning series after series ... damn I hate that the Rangers always seem to play over their heads when they play us

Well the Giants have owned the Astros the past few seasons, but they reversed that with their home series win last week...so hopefully that's a good sign heading into the Bay Area...and hopefully the guys will be more comfortable against Lincecum this time around.

Astros have three hitters tonight in the lineup hitting under .200 including Jason Lane who were some reason keeps getting starts.

Don't include the pitcher... and this Lane/Scott platoon may be a dead-end (for both players) if somebody can't step up sometime soon.

What? Luke Scott has had a good May. He has hit .292 and had a OPS of .892. Any other manager in the big leagues would play Scott versus lefties.

His good May hasn't been too good since the 8th... his average has dropped from .262 to .237, and he hasn't had an extra base hit since May 12th.

So basically, his good May was a really good 5 day stretch (May 3rd-7th)... more consistency is needed.
