I have to say… I was extremely critical of Espada. Actually down right cynical and disrespectful. I gladly apologize and eat crow. He has been incredible on this run.
Somewhere, somehow… Joe (previously thought to be the perfect minor league manager) gets a team mostly full of misfit toys…. And his voice actually carries some weight (he himself being somewhat of a misfit toy)…. And he’s got them believing and not playing scared. It’s just like the movie moneyball…. (Also it can be glossed over that this team has world class pitching… much like those moneyball teams…. Turns out you can be the smartest guys in the room if you can pitch).
Ah yes, Moneyball - the movie that made casual viewers believe the athletics were good bc they put Chris Pratt at first base and signed Chad Bradford.
Altuve continues to emasculate the Dodgers and Yankee fan base lol. So sublime to watch. This is historic and unforgettable.
Not only that handed them the worst defeat in their stadium in the history of the park. How sweet it is! The Dodgers have eclipsed the Yankees as most hated in my book, but they are still 1 and 2 by a country mile.
I told my friend that I think I now consider this the most satisfying regular season series of all time.
