Do players not switch teams in the NBA? I'm actually pretty sure baseball teams get more prime years out of their young homegrown/drafted stars. And when you have a "special one"... the Astros are well within their capabilities to go all-out to secure him.
has Thatcher ever fielded a ball? He pretty much winds up with his back to home plate once he delivers his pitch. feel like he'd get smacked in the backfat.
Why is everybody saying a 2-2 split of the Rangers-Angels series is the "worst case scenario"???? To me, the worst case is the Angels going 3-1.... and the Astros winning 2 out of 3 (which is still the most likely scenario for this series).... which would leave a game 163 on monday only for the wild card. I know 3-1 Angels is the only chance the Astros have at winning the division... but it also requires the Astros to be perfect. With a split (or more succinctly, if the Rangers and Astros both win tomorrow), it becomes increasingly probable that the Astros don't have to use vital resources on Sunday as the playoffs will be set.
It was 7-1 last time I checked. Wtf happened, D-Back's pitching just decided to throw softballs for us? I'll take it
