No question he can throw some heat.

Damn, I wish I would've taken a slightly later lunch... I'd be able to see Norris' debut.

How's the movement on his pitches? Gamecast can only tell you so much.

But they do it in other games too. It just seems like going with custom rather than reality.

Norris just hit 96 on the fastball.

I understand about being patient with a young pitcher but why wait until desperate times to bring a kid up that has this type of stuff?

Don't worry guys. We'll split the series tomorrow and then take 2 out of 3 from St Louis and then we are back on track.

He is hitting 94-95 on the WGN gun, but Hampton hit 93 according to that a couple of times, so...

    Hampton's pitching line: 4 ip, 8 h, 9 r, 9 er, 3 bb, 1 k

Ouch...loved the guy ever since we got the fool in 94 but I think this may be it...

Thats why. Anybody know how close those pitches were? I know Gamecast can be misleading.

I heard Wade on the radio today. I think it's a matter of control and getting comfortable with a new pitch. They really want him to be a starter.

They were right outside the zone. The first two were low but just barely.

Good news is he got through the inning with no hits & two strikeouts.

Bad news is he threw 21 pitches to do it. 11 Strikes 10 Balls.
