So Moehler's last outing (7 ip, 5 h, 1 r) was not good enough for you, while Oswalt's last outing (6 ip, 6 h, 4r) was?
I was in Chicago yesterday for the game. They announced the postponement as soon as we walked in. Ugh.
For those who care, Alyson took a job with the Astros' front office as senior director of digital media. http://houston.astros.mlb.com/news/...ent_id=4749764&vkey=pr_hou&fext=.jsp&c_id=hou Which means Brian McTaggart will take her old job with MLB.com, effective June 1. Big loss for the Chron, but MLB.com should stay strong...
Has anyone seen Roy Oswalt about anywhere? If you see him, could you let him know he's supposed to be pitching today.
The Astros have some sort of "Zambrano hurricane no-hitter mental block" against the Cubs right now. We need to start beating the Cubs again. It doesn't look like it is going to happen, though. This series feels one-sided and we are on the unpleasant side.
I normally don't believe in these kind of ideas, but it's hard to argue with how awful we have played against the Cubs this year. They owned us for 4 out 5 at MMP (the one W was in extra innings) and now we get shutdown in Wrigley. We've looked like a different team when against the rest of the NL (15-14) and vs. the Cubs (1-5).
Wow, Berkman and Lee go yard back to back to bring it back to 4-2 then Miggy gets a base hit. Tying run at the plate and still 0 outs. C'mon Hunter!
