Great AB for Castro. Questionable strike 3 call (outside according to the tracker on TV). Worked a full count and made the pitcher throw 8 pitches.

That was simply the least believable 45 seconds of defense I have ever seen.

Crack, crack, whiff, crack, whiff, crack, crack, whiff, crack...

That's what I'm hearing while watching Norris either make 'em swing and miss or give up a clean hit.

    It's one or the other.

Good to see Bourn swinging the bat a bit better.

Every time he comes to bat I feel dumber for believing he would be an avg 3rd baseman...

LOL Thanks, IF Bud can get "it" like Paulino has he would make a nice 3 or 4.

    Wow, instant replay.

Almost an identical AB for Castro with another questionable strike 3 call in nearly the exact same location.

    Full count, 8 pitches again.

I thought both should've been walks. Ump thought otherwise.

Still, he forced Parra to throw 16 pitches in his 2 ABs. Great sign. Have seen him lay off several tough pitches for balls since being called up.

they should have been 2 walks, they were both pretty far outside... this ump is a dick.

I was trying not to be a homer. It seems like at least one should've been a walk.

Then he doesn't grant Bourn the timeout. Probably a reasonable call but it doesn't seem like the dude is giving us the benefit of the doubt on anything.

Perhaps that called strike 3 against the first Brewer batter of the game was close.

Maybe Puma and Caballo ate all the donuts before the game and didn't leave them any?

Castro with I believe his 3rd CS of the season.

He gets up and releases the ball quickly for somebody his size.

He struggled a bit behind the plate yesterday. Good to see him forget about it and bounce back a day later.

    Finally!

Castro has very impressive poise up there.

He forced Parra to throw him 22 pitches in his 3 ABs. He should have 2 or 3 walks tonight but that was his 1st.

What a painful season. Too bad we can't play the Cardinals every 5th day just for Bud.

I actually fear Bud's next couple of starts against STL.

That's one of the few things he can hang his hat on so far and I think it's due for a correction.

I read a theory about it but I think it's largely a fluke.

Very, very good AB for Bourn. Villanueva was throwing some tricky stuff up there.

Works a full count and takes one the other way for an RBI single.
