    That's a lot to ask of the pitcher. Catching the ball and awareness of the base to tag.

    The infield only has to worry throwing the ball properly.

    Diaz is a catcher. He hasn’t done that very much.

    Arrighetti dropped one of those a week or two ago as well.

    I’m guessing because Tucker is at DH and Caratini has been catching Arrighetti. Personally I would have just given Diaz the day off.
