Playoffs are a whole new pressure cooker. I didn’t like how King came in and 1st pitch emptied the bases yesterday. Just one pitch, one game I know, but that kinda stuff is devastating in the postseason.

 

King would be a LHP matchup guy and one of the last guys out of the pen.

 

And that’s where he definitely needs to be.

I don’t trust king, Ort, Scott, martinez, ferguson in the postseason and I don’t trust Whitley either. I know Neris has looked good for us but I have trust issues with him too.

 

Maybe if we don’t let JV get rocked in the playoffs we won’t have to worry about that.

 

Its the postseason, I trust no one not named Mariano Rivera.....

I think King has earned the spot but I seriously doubt he makes the list.

It doesn’t really matter who the other guys are other than Neris, Abreu, Pressly and Hader. If they stupidly give JV a start, we will see Blanco as well.

Other than them, I don’t think we are going to see any other reliever unless we are losing by multiple runs. Maybe Arrighetti gets some run due to his K potentially but that’s about it.

 

So Altuve strikes out by not swinging on a pitch down the middle and Yainer/Pena strike out on swings out of the zone. Could've been a different inning
