Truly, quit trying to steal software.

This kind of stuff just ticks me off. If you want it, buy it. If you don't want to buy it, download free Office software like Open Office.

And if you don't want folks telling you not to steal software, don't post about it on a public message board.

And don't go whining about the cost or about big companies ripping you off or whatever. Grow up, quit being a thief or trying to be a thief. It's akin to walking into Best Buy and grabbing a box of MS Office and walking out without paying for it.

If you're going to steal, do it like a man. Put on a mask and hold up a software store. Quit being a sissy and doing it from behind a computer keyboard.

so you pay for an apple product, then you want to steal a microsoft one?

you could just buy it from a university for pretty cheap. i bought office for $30.

if you can't do that, try $115 for the home version.

or you can risk it even after hearing stories likes this.

They are rare, but they are there. And you still pretty much have to give it permission to, uh, come aboard.

Such as, for example, downloading fake illegal programs with it embedded in it and installing it.

Like bobrek mentioned, Open Office is free.

Quit being a dumbass and asking for help on being a bigger dumbass, or the viruses will trash your pretty mac.

There are a few Mac viruses in existence. I think the number is around 40; Windows viruses have topped 1,000,000. Because you're .004% as likely to get a Mac virus as you are a Windows virus, people assume there are none. Pretty much all of them have been taken care of. That said, what you'd more than likely get would be a trojan horse embedded in the program. When you put in your password
    hannahmontana4eva
the trojan horse in the pirated and altered software copy would receive it too. This has happened multiple, multiple times.

If you want a great Microsoft Office alternative that still allows you to open, edit, and save .doc, .xls, and .ppt files (for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), I recommend either OpenOffice (openoffice.org -- free) or iWork (apple.com/iwork/ -- $79). Of the big three, I prefer iWork. That's like the Paul Pierce of office programs. Microsoft Office is Kevin Garnett, and OpenOffice is Ray Allen.
