What a nice game by the Rox against the Bulls...Despite the trade Tmac threads that we've made, we all know realistically this we can't move him. But there are players who can't adapt in Rick's system and an excess to our roster...James,Francis,Snyder and Novak --> can we trade these guys for those who can adapt in our system and contribute?

oh no, rockets can move him, just trade him for a second round draft pick, anything to get rid of him. he's detrimental to this team, did you see the rockets play against denver? it was smooth without him.

one of them will be pushed to the DNP list as AB continues to excel and Head gets his shooting touch back.

Francis sits for AB and if Head continues his good shooting Mike James will see less minutes.

    Hmm...

    Gerald Green
    Quinton Ross
    Walter Herrmann
David Lee (Althought I dont think New York will trade him..)
    Willie Green
    Reggie Evans
    Gordon Giracek

Any of those players could help

No one wants those players...James maybe but he's got a fat contract for a couple more years

I have a question. If Mike James was to be traded would his trade kicker kick in again thus increasing his salary even more? Or was it just a one time thing? If it's the former, I don't think will be able to move him without screwing ourselves over.

We are trading James or Francis for whom? As long as they are not distraction to the team, we keep'em. I still think after Feb Francis of old will be back. Important thing is they need to have defined roles on his team, and Adelman be clear about it.

    agree. Step #1 for him.

It's really funny over the past a few year, Rockets has officially become the adoption center for guys once a stud and came to us out of shape or lost confidence or both. Derrick Anderson, Stromile(never a stud, but remember the high hopes we gave him, the three headed monster. What were we thinking, him in the same sentence as Yao and Tmac?, anyways), Bonzi, Vspan(Greek league stud), and this year Francis. They just keep coming every year.

I think we should trade Yao for Kwame Brown and trade McGrady for a 3rd round pick. Then we can build around Rafer Alston and we will be like the Phoenix Suns!

Because Rafer Alston is the best point guard in the world (you've never heard of...according to SLAM)

If we don't make any significant trades and moves, Im afraid that my starting lineup has absolutely about as much chance as a snowball in Hell of ever seeing the floor. Steve will be in Rick's bench brigade the rest of the season. Although he played bad the last couple of games that he played, where he may have still been hurt; with Aaron playing better and deserving more minutes...and Wafer actually hitting a few shots, Steve may as well start knitting. Cause he will have plenty of time on that bench to make things other than plays and shots.

I have to admit that Wafer is playing better, but Im not convinced, nor ever will be that he can help us in the playoffs to get to the second round or further. Aaron is definitely ready to get more minutes though!

francis and james are defintely the odd men out. 1/3 of the season is already over and youre telling me francis still isnt in shape? if so then he needs to pack his bags b/c obviously he came here with the wrong attitude. id like to hang onto james a little longer because of the instant offense he can bring.

I agree, if they are not causing problems, why trade them? It doesn't hurt to have them as insurance. It's a long season so anything can happen. If we can continue to play well like last night, then our roster is pretty much set.
