In part 2... The whole "hey you look like Julia Roberts" thing... No repeats of that mumbo jumbo BS right? I mean... That was ridiculous. Too ridiculous.
i liked it. it's not ridiculous like the second one(though i still love that movie) but there are parts of this one that feel kind of tedious. overall it was pretty much more of the same which is great to me.
Saw it last night. Better than the 2nd, but not as good as the 1st. Still entertaining. Barkin is nasty. Also, if you are a fan of Super Dave Osbourne, you'll like this movie.
About the only thing I didn't like about the movie is they kind of spelled out the caper to you. In the first two there were some major plot points that weren't revealed till the very end...which is what I especially loved about the first one; you didn't quite know exactly how it was all going down until the final act. Here, you knew exactly what was gonna happen from act one...and though there were a few twists in the end, you could anticipate them. Overall, I like that they got back to Vegas, loved Al Pacino, made sense that the women weren't a part of the film this time but still existed, liked Super Dave, liked the whole scheme...it was probably on par if not slightly better than the second but you still can't top the greatness of the first...everything about that one just clicked. Now who the hell were the 12th and 13th members this time? Spoiler I'm thinking Andy Garcia was the 12th and Super Dave, aka Linus' Dad, was the 13th...or maybe that other guy from the beginning that helped the guys figure out how to crash the security system and helped Livingston with rigging blackjack the 13th...or maybe all three of them were part of the crew and Rueben wasn't since he was out of the action until the very end this time.
It was alright. Completely forgettable, just like the others. What were the plots of those other movies? Mostly a vehicle for Pitt and Clooney to look cool.
that's kind of the point. it's just fun. it's not telling some great story with a lesson. it's just a good cast with a fun script.
Saw it this weekend, enjoyed it. Not a great movie but enjoyable to watch, really like the mexican revolt, thought that was pretty funny. Ellen Barkin, man could her lips get any more collagen in her lips?
yeah that was my main beef with the movie, i enjoyed the first two because they show you how they fooled everyone after they fooled them, this time around it was told all in semi-detail at the beginning and the twist they did have i saw it coming, i am sure most everyone would if they saw the second one. maybe its just me but i thought the hotel comittee guy looked like jvg a bit.
I didn't think Oceans 12 justified a 3rd installment, but that's just me...I'll probably wait for the DVD, as I did with 12...
