Could he be the next Pig Miller? This dude is 6'9", 270. Perhaps he could help anchor the end of the Rocket's bench? No, I don't mean contribute, I mean actually hold the bench in place...

Is he any good? Any comments?

Didn't he play college ball at Maryland?

Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

My sources tell me he has been holding back on the league until he can get into a Rocket's uniform. Once here, he will unleash his magical basketball powers. Stay tuned.

lol, seriously though, here is a guy who was just released by the clippers;that being said he has to know he can't get much lower than that nba wise and might be looking to prove something.he did play with steve at maryland and overall he might be a good pickup for the rocks.

Ekezie couldn't play for Vancouver, Washington, or the Clips....He will be an addition (not a quality one)...let's just leave it at that.

Apparently, we are not listening! The Q. is "can he hold the bench" - (literally) I really think he can, but I'd prefer if he was over 300Ibs.

I hope you are kidding around the last few days, cause if you still think Rudy messed up on draft night, esp. considering the way other rooks are playing right now, you have one hell of a lot to learn about basketball. Regarding that draft day move, I know if I'm Rudy I'd sure rather have a good pick next year and Collier than your boy Larry Hughes. (you knew I had to take a shot at him, lol...) [IMG]

Well, I guess I will be the only one that will give an opinion on Ekezie. The guy is raw. He reminds me a lot of Jahidi White in regards to his rebounding ability. He has logged few minutes however. Not much offensive ability though.

Not a big shot blocker either. I would pass.

I will say, I would take a chance on him rather than have kept Cherokee Parks! UGH!

I think I would pass on picking up Ekezie. If we do need some inside help, Axel Dench or Tyrone Washington are more preferable (IMO). They both already know the Rockets and the system and neither is afraid to bang.
