What point are you trying to make? Blacks are only athletes? Check out this site, http://www.bls.gov/cps/cpsaat11.pdf, from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and you will see that Blacks are very well represented, given their % of the total population, in Law, Medicine and Science. Maybe no one has told you but this is 2004 not 1954.

Oakley was wrong on many facts: The best golfer is an asian Tiger Woods: 1/4 Chinese, 1/4 Tai, 1/4 Black, 1/8 White, 1/8 Indian. Woods have been considered himself as an asian since His childhood. Because the reason you all know, he no longer say that. The best tennis player right now male or female is white not black.
I don't agree with Oak's comments. If what he says is the case, why haven't we seen more exposure of players such as Nash, Heinrich, or even Nowitzki. I don't believe it is a black-white view, but a black-white american concept. A possibility for the reason for this lack of exposure of the players aforementioned is because these players are not American save for Heinrich, who isn't that good. One can argue that if a White-American player with very good skills comparable to a Paul Pierce arises in the NBA, then there would be much ado about the player--similar to Larry Bird. There would be an Eminem phenomenon. I have no doubt about this. Imagine if Brent Barry or Heinrich explodes for a 25 ppg season making it to the all-star game and leading their respective teams to the playoffs. They will be on evry cover of every sports magazine. They'll be on TV shows and Letterman. It's just an American phenomenon to see everything through race.
