BINGO! now compare lebron's most recent do or die performances to kobe's. kobe was outplayed by paul pierce (a good player but not in kobe's league really) in the finals. kobe quit on his team (the whole league called him out for it if u remember, but people like to brush over that fact) in the suns series that one year when they had no one but nash leading them. kobe has choked away what seemed like insurmountable series leads (3-1 to suns that same year he got blown out in the 7th game and refused to shoot ni the second half of game). kobe is a GREAT player, but in the short time span lebron has been in the league even though his game is not as developed and he is not as mature as kobe, lebron has PROVEN that he can carry his team farther into the playoffs with far less talent and has never before choked away a series or quit on his team when it counted the most i think there is no doubt in any1 mind that lebron is the player u want to build a team around. he can do more with less, and is a far better all around player and much more balanced game i think kobe should be compared more to wade and not lebron, i think lebron is a step above both of those guys even though they are great scorers and clutch performers
I should make it clear - I also agree Lebron is the best player in the NBA. Simply insane. Kobe is a close 2nd.
It was not a triple double folks! http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...erisk-on-LeBron-s-MSG-triple-d?urn=nba,139191 Also Kobe is the best player. Kobe had 53 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists vs Rockets in 2007. Rockets>Knicks Battier's Defense>Harringtons Yao>lee JVG>D'antoni Thibeduo>Herb Kobe>Lebron
Lebron shot a pathetic 35%FG while Kobe shot over 40% FG vs the Celtics. How did Lebron do vs the Spurs in the finals btw? Do you want me to pull out Kobe's stats vs the Spurs in the WCF a year later? Kobe> Lebron.
And lost. But it was an excellent show though. As you've seen with posts about McGrady's Orlando days here, that years ago stuff doesnt count too much in the today comparisons

In my opinion - that rebound was Lebron's, but only because Big Ben refused to handle it...he practically juggled it towards Lebron to pad his stats.
You're right. Kobe scored 53 TWICE against the Rockets in 2006-07 unbelievably enough. That was the 2006 game. The one where the Rockets scrubs almost came back from 19 down. Later in the season in 2007 the Lakers lost though he scored 53. I thought Kobe was due an MVP award that year, and he got it a year or 2 late. TODAY though, Lebron is staking his rightful claim
