I must say I'm impressed as hell with LaFrentz. If you guys had McDyess, you may have beaten us tonight.
I don't think Nuggets4 or NugzFan would be considered "trolls" at all ... both are knowledgeable about the game and respectful posters. PS. McDyess went for 40 and 20 last year against Taylor.
Well Nugzfan seems to think he is a troll and that is why he posted here? I know McDyess went for 40 and 20 against us last year. Nuggets are a much better team with McDyess, but we are also a better team with Maurice. Granted Maurice is not as good as Dyess, but he would make a difference on our team.
Thanks Clutch. Kidrock, are you on crack? You were impressed with LaFrentz?!?!? Ugh. And you guys think we're dillusional. LaFrentz is slow, LaFrentz is out of shape, and he's too busy whining about his contract and how Issel doesn't like him to sack up and play like a center. God it's a good thing I wrote off this season before it started. This is pathetic.
I originally thought that LaFrentz looked slow too, but I think we have to give credit to KT. He has made everyone look slow with his face to the basket moves. To be fair, KT is actually more of a 3 than he is a 4. He has a solid mid range jump shot and a very good first step to the basket. He will have this advantage over most of the 4/5s in the league. However, he hasn't shown much of a low post game, nor will it be effective against true 4/5s. KT's future will be at the 3, and if he remains a rocket, I expect for MO and EG to man the 4 spot while KT, Rice et al hold down the 3 position. I still believe that LaFrentz would be a great 5 for the Rockets. With the way things are going in Denver, maybe I will get my wish.
I meant slow running his a$$ down court. It's awful. It's almost like watching Priest Lauderdale (yes, that is an exaggeration, but still). By the way, Kiki's in charge now. Give up the dream of getting Raef from us for anything less than Eddie Griffin (and we know that's not going to happen).
Nugget fans-Be glad that you guys are "stuck" with Raef at C. The Rockets would take him in a heartbeat.
Hey Nuggets fans, how did Kevin Willis get along with LaFrentz? Any chance that Willis can help us to get LaFrentz here in free agency? Don't they both hate Issell? Oh yeah, everybody hates Issell..... but everybody loves Rudy!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to jump in and say that the Nugz fans are some of the best fans of other teams that frequent the site. Not like they are Bulls fans or anything...give 'em a break.
they werent tight as far as i know. willis wasnt too tight with anyone, but wasnt like an outcast either. if you have cap room you can get raef. and take him. im sick of his fukin pansy ass right now. you guys with league pass...watch him when the rocks arent on. i think hes allergic to the key.
Willis wasn't "tight" with anyone in Denver. No one disliked him (openly), but no one really hung out with him either. Nuggets locker room is actually more cohesive this year, but that has to do with Avery Johnson being brought in, not Willis leaving. Go figure. Well, stupidly, I actually feel good about this game from a Nugs standpoint. IF Issel doesn't do anything too stupid, and if Raef can locate his balls before he suits up tonight, we should beat you guys. Both teams are coming off of ugly games, but we're at home and while we may suck, we're always dangerous at home. Nugs 99, Rockets 94
Whatever Nugzfan, you guys are still going to get killed. When the Rockets have a poor shooting night, we usually come out on fire the next game. LAW OF AVERAGES. What makes you think the Nuggets can handle us without McDyess. I am never scared of the Nuggets without McDyess.
If there is one thing to say about the Nuggets, is that you have to respect them when they are at home against a team who is on the second game of a back to back. Rudy will need to sub in a lot sooner tonight instead of waiting until the end of the first quarter, if he wants to have fresh players in the 4th quarter. Fatigue will be the Rockets main enemy tonight, so hopefully the bench will step it up. B
Great post B (unlike the one that preceeded yours ). The Nugs played last night in Dallas, so both teams will be fatigued. However, once again, you have to look at the Nugs homecourt advantage. We own the Pepsi Center (and McNichols when we had it). I may be a bit of a homer, but I like our odds tonight. We always seem to play you guys pretty well, so hopefully it'll be a good game......with the Nugs winning.
