According to the Chron...

    Norris cleared

Rockets guard Moochie Norris had the stitches removed from his right pinkie finger on Thursday and was cleared to play, well ahead of the original schedule when he needed surgery to repair a dislocated finger.

Medically, Norris could have played against the 76ers on Thursday, but had not practiced since suffering the injury Oct. 15.

Also, Mo is fine and will not sit out any games due to his ankle.

Yea, he was suited up at the beginning of the game. He was even shooting jumpers at the corner when the Sixers starters were being introduced. But after the first timeout, he ran back to the locker rooms. In the fourth qtr., i saw him in street clothes.

According to the announcers at the game tonight, KT is planning on being back for the first game of the season. We'll see, but we really could use him back.

Good news on both Norris and KT.

ON MoT I am okay even if he took an additional week to recover, becasue anyway he would paying for his 'weed'ing effort. PLus everyone healty at all times will casue some PT issue for Rudy.

we really miss kt out there, particularly tongiht. no way do we give up that many offensive boards with him there. good to have mooch back, it was his right hand so it shouldn't affect him too much if at all.

Moochie coming back this soon just shows how much he appreciates his opportunity of being where he's at in the NBA.

We all remember when Moochie could not get his break with Vancouver and Seattle, and struggled at first through the 10 day contracts with the Rockets.

Moochie worked his ass off to get to this point in his basketball career. He is not going to let an injury hold him back. No way he wants anyone else to take his job.

What an excellent person, and a true gamer if your think about it. I wonder how many buzzer beaters he will provide us this year.

We should appreciate Moochie Norris more than we do.

I've dislocated my pinky before and it took at least 3 weeks. Medicine is amazing these days. Go research!

Thank goodness. We are just too susceptible to the press when Tierre Brown or Tito Maddox are out there. I think the points we gave up to the press were the real reasons we lost the last two games.

I totally agree JBII. There are teams that would kill to have a PG who averages 5 assist, that's our back-up PG doing that! And while we're getting healthy the Pacers are getting banged up for their opener. Croshere, Artest and likely Reggie Miller are going to miss the Rockets game, and Jermaine O'Neal is banged up, and while he may play he's going to be far from 100%.

Jeff that is really great news! I was figuring that KT and Moochie would probably be out at least the first week of the regular season. Glad they will be back. With MoT out for the 5 game suspension and TMo out with the ankle sprain we really need KTs help at the 4 spot. I did not watch the game last night, just followed it on the web, and if I am not mistaken Collier and Ming were on the floor at the same time? That is truley frightening if that was the case. We are that banged up at the 4 spot for that to take place. Get back soon KT!

Were you sitting at the very bottom row of section 107? I was in 106 a few rows up and couldn't tell if that was you or not, especially given I;ve only actually seen how you look once.
