Havent visited this forum in awhile, but was wondering what happened to it, i used to be in it, was wanting to get back into it.
It died a long time ago. I was thinking about it today actually. If I could find a sim program I liked I might consider reviving it after I finished athletics in April. CK
I wouldnt mind trying to run it, but not sure if it would be good for me to try that since this summer i will be going off to college, dont know how much i would be able to do with it. If it gets started again i am defintely in!
That would be super news Castor, I'd like to have a NBA or NFL sim up and running again, hell maybe both if i can ever find some way to run one.
It looks like this could be a reality in the near future. I am testing a sim to see if I like it (so far I do). I never cared for the way FBB ran so I have found one that is made by a company that was once affiliated with OOTP. They have a pretty good basketball sim and I hope to have a sample of the html export up later today. The premise of the sim is that you are the GM and run the team. You have a coach that can be hired or fired and you control player movements. There is a salary cap and luxury cap. You also have to deal with an owner but I am not positive how that works (I'm still testing this out). You can set and adjust ticket prices for several different levels and set several different promotions. It looks to be somewhat similar to OOTP so I'll put up the link for the practice site and see what everyone thinks.
Well I started playing around with the game and as a game it was great. It had a lot of really nice features but the HTML export was horrid. It only generated a basic standings and team page no main page with links to the othre pages. You could get box scores but no way to check some of the cooller features of the gaem such as NBDL players(they are in the game) and the navigation on the exported site was very bad. No links on any page to take you to the standings page or any other league pages for that matter. I stickied the old FBB info and I am going to look into seeing if it is updated from the old version. I will also be looking for other basketball sims so if anyone has any suggestions or knows of other programs post them in here.
