Let this Young team grow, and have a few years of solid growth between the core. Too many years of roster turnover and change. Keep Francis, Yao, MoT, JJ, Cato and YES even Mobes. Throw in VG and let it ride two years at least. When was the last time the Rox had a team that didnt change at least one starter in two consecutive years?
im gonna laugh when we lose next and the trade threads pop up. But we do need 2 improvements: a pf and point guard. Calvin kato or maurice aint gonna cut it in the long run.
and honestly i only think u need a couple months to jell (look at the mavs there starting to play good!) and the core has been togther for a while already.
Someone just needs to tell Cato to stop shooting those 15 footers. Those are basically a TO. Everything will be fine after that
Maybe I haven't been to this site much lately, but when did Mobley get on the s-list again?(I guess that the more we win, the less I need to visit this site)
Then someone needs to get Ewing to shut up because Ewing is trying to teach Cato how to shoot the 15 footer. It would be nice if Cato could develop a reliable shot, but it is painful to watch him shoot now. I'd rather they just teach MoT how to board and play better D.
The Rockets are not young. SF will be 27 in one month CM is 28 MT is 27 Cato is 29 Those guys have played together for 3+ years. Raven
I think they could contend this year or next year. With Yao (24 this year?) and these other guys as the core, the team could be a contender for the next 5 years or so (if they live up to our high expectations, of course ).
With a good but not great team, I believe it's a mistake to commit to either statis or change. I'd rather keep the team together, but if the perfect deal comes along, I think you have to take it. But otherwise, I would be pleased with just adding a couple of nice complimentary players (this team is in dire need of a true shooter).

He missed a few shots last week, and he committed the cardinal sin of not seeing Yao open underneath the basket in the Minnesota game late in the 4th period while up 15 points on a possession where we dribbled down the shot clock and scored anyway...that last incident drew the wrath and ire of YOFfies like no other. The board almost went down due to serial whining...I think the last 2 pages of the game thread talk about that play exclusively (it's not like kicking red hot Minnesota's ass up and down the court would merit any discussion now, would it?)

Mo T has had 1 year of solid, non injured years This is the First year that these guys have had Yao, MO T, Cat, and Francis all healthy and playing together. You guys want change just for the sex appeal. Instead, let this team show what it has under VG this year and next, then think of whats to come. haven is right. Unless the ABSOLUTE right deal came along, then you let everything be.
