I know you guys have seen it. Three spots with Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, and Carmello Anthony. Their practicing in an arena by themselves and John Thompson's in the background reciting poems about "Greatness". Anyway, anybody found it funny that Jumana Mann, uh I mean Jumana Kidd made her way into her husband's commercial. I couldn't believe that. Anyway just thought that was funny an she is really living up to her reputation of capitalizing on her husband's fame.
the only one that is good is the one with payton. greatness is fleeting, greatness is lonely! you don't want greatness, do you?
were they Nike ads? I thought Jordan started his own shoe company called Jumpman23.. (maybe a spinoff of Nike or something) but if Carmelo signed with Nike or even Jason Kidd wouldnt that have been big news? Anyways its better Joumana than some other woman.. or else Jkidd would be in trouble. =P I dont like the commercials except for GPaytons.. I like how he had the chairs on the court.. but I dont like the voice in the background. J
I think the payton one is the best too. I can't stand the Melo' commerical. Good god, how many times can you say "only greatness equals greatness." We get the point coach!
I actually like the Kidd ad cause of two things....... 1........ Joumana is hot.......nuff said. 2.........the Jordan XIX uniform Kidd was sportin. That short set will probably be the best seller in the AJ XIX line. The uniform is the Jordan Brand version of the Retro Bulls red road uniform with "Chicago" in cursive font that Jordan used to sport in the mid 80's. Despite the jersey saying "Jordan" instead of "Chicago," the uniform is a historicaly correct "throwback" right down to the 3/4ths diamond displayed on the shorts. Its a very clean B-Ball short set, one I will have to get my hands on......... and BTW.........Air Jordan is a spinoff of Nike. Jumpman23.com is the site.......
What was funny to me about that Kidd commercial is that as soon as I saw it, I envisioned a parody by Dave Chappell where he played Kidd (with generous makeup, mind), gets up heading towards the basket, hears his wife saying "Jaaaaaason...Jaaaaaason" turns immediately around, yells "Shut up, b****. I'm trying to shoot a free throw!" and slaps her. Just seemed like something Dave would do.
